Elie Wiesel and Larry Josephson

NEVER AGAIN! A HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL is a one hour special that includes Larry Josephson's recent exclusive interview with Elie Wiesel, a holocaust survivor and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on behalf of humanity. Wiesel barely survived Auschwitz and Buchenwald. He is the author of "Night," a deeply personal memoir of his time in the camps.

ABRAHAM FOXMAN, national director of the Anti Defamation League, tells of another means of survival. He was taken as an infant by his Polish nanny, baptized and raised as a Catholic. He was reunited with his parents after the war.

We also hear from a woman who recounts in vivid detail her arrival in Auschwitz, and her encounter with the infamous Dr. Josef Mengele.

Josephson asks Elie Wiesel whether we are born with the capacity for evil and genocide, or is it learned? Wiesel also reflects on the late Pope John Paul II, who apologized for the sins of the Catholic Church against the Jews. "I think he was a great pope. He will remain a great pope in Jewish history."

At the end of the program, Elie Wiesel reads a short excerpt from his Nobel acceptance speech: " ÉThere is so much to be done, there is so much more that can be done. One personÉ a Martin Luther King, Jr. - one person of integrity can make a difference, a difference of life or death."

This powerful program is intended for all listeners, Jew or Gentile, concerned with human rights and genocide, which has continued unabated since the Holocaust-----from Cambodia to Bosnia to Rwanda.

NEVER AGAIN! is mixed with haunting music from the prayer sung by Jews as they entered the gas chambers, and the Bach suites for unaccompanied cello.
